The new Cronus Pre-Filter Plus syringe filter features a multi-layer GMP (glass microfibre) pre filter, in front of a 0.45um Nylon membrane.
The GMF filters capture the large particles and stop the Nylon filter from blocking easily, so that only the smaller particles reach the final membrane thus ensuring maximum filtration efficiency
This means that sample capacity of the filter is much larger than normal syringe filters and a single Pre-Filter Plus can even replace several filtration steps, making it a really cost effective solution.
In addition, the extractable levels of the filter are amongst the lowest available ensuring that your chromatography will not be contaminated with unwanted peaks
